National Coordinator / Head of the Advisory Centre

I have been the National Coordinator and Head of the Gambian-German Advisory Centre for Jobs, Training and Reintegration since the start of 2021. Together with our team, I will support you in finding up-to-date information about the opportunities available regarding jobs, starting a business, training, professional development and psychosocial support. I am happy to help you reintegrate both socially and economically in The Gambia. I look forward to supporting you!

I speak English as well as Mandinka, Fula, Serahule and Wolof.

Are you looking forward to returning to The Gambia but worried about your prospects after you come back? I am a reintegration advisor and will give you all the important information you need for a successful new beginning. I advise and support you in your job search (writing CVs and preparation for job interviews), career guidance, information on vocational training and start-up/entrepreneurship support. I look forward to accompanying you on your reintegration.

As a reintegration advisor, I am happy to support you regarding questions about jobs, education and other socioeconomic opportunities. You can also contact me with any questions you may have about the reintegration support services available in the country. I have a lot of experience with migration issues, especially in returning home and reintegration.

Psychosocial support - the most important questions and answers

Returning from abroad is not always easy. In order to settle back in The Gambia in the best possible way, the Gambian-German Advisory Centre for Jobs, Training and Reintegration (GGAC) offers psychosocial support together with the Gambia Red Cross Society. The offer applies to returnees as well as to the local population.

Successful job fair and careers day in The Gambia

Contacts with companies, careers advice, tips on the best training, promotion of employment and raising awareness of different opportunities in The Gambia: all of these were the focal point of the job fair on the campus of Gambia College. More than 1,000 participants benefited from these opportunities.

A future career for young people

Together with the GTTI, the GGAC is offering young people in Gambia a 9-month training course, which is intended to improve their career prospects. It prepares them for jobs in the welding industry, construction and the solar technology sector.

The goal: entrepreneurial thinking

The 13 proud Gambians are presented with their certificates: They have learned a lot during their one-week training on the basics of business and finances. The mood in the small room scattered with tables, posters and working materials is vibrant – thanks to their newly acquired knowledge, the participants, including returnees from Germany, are keen to start planning their career as a self-employed business owners.
