My name is Robert and I am 41 years old. My wife Yvonne and I were looking for opportunities to change our lives when we returned to Ghana. We were at a low point when we heard about the GGC. But first things first.
I am a skilled carpenter and my wife used to work as a saleswoman. With the desire for a better life, I emigrated to South Africa in 2000 and Yvonne joined me in 2013. While in South Africa, I trained as a hairdresser. However, we were not financially successful there. In addition, attacks against strangers like us increased. Therefore, Yvonne returned to Ghana in 2015 and I followed in 2017.
Back in Accra, we first had to live in my mother-in-law's house. This was not easy for either of us. My wife found a job as a secretary in a school, but did not earn much money.
