Success through agriculture in Tunisia

Oeurfeli Houssem Eddine is convinced that when it comes to agriculture, his home country has a lot to offer. This young Tunisian produces mozzarella and honey, and also wants to grow quinoa in the future. The Agripreneur 3.0 project run by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH helped him to build up his business.

My name is Mariem. I’m 29 years old and married with a daughter. I’d like to be a role model for her just like my mother is for me. I learned weaving from my mother when I was a child, and this gave me the basis to start a business later on. I got help with this from the project “Agripreneur”.

Hi, I'm Khaled. I’m 34 and I come from Tunisia. My family owns a fruit and vegetable outlet where I worked for a long time. But it was always my great dream to live in Europe. I made my way there in 2008 when I was 24 years old. Initially I spent a year in Italy. Then I travelled to Germany via France and Belgium.
